THE FREDERICK MOTEL

The Frederick Motel opened its doors to hill country travelers in December of 1947, originally established as the Happy Courts. Renamed the Frederick Motel in 1967 when 6 additional rentable units were added in anticipation of additional transient interest due to the local county fair and events. Also added was the original Frederick Motel sign that still stands today! A motor-court style motel made popular in the Route 66 days of the 1950’s, the Frederick boasts 13 rentable queen rooms that have been completely renovated to suit the modern travelers needs.

Each come equipped with retro fridge and microwave, mini-iron and board, hairdryer, 12” memory foam mattress wrapped in El Paso Saddle Blanket Co. native prints, 43” smart flat screens (log-in to all your apps!) and lightning fast internet with a hardwired ethernet connection available in each room. Also, we have happily partnered with Shotgun House Roasters out of San Antonio to roast our guests an exclusive blend of premium drip coffee. A small table and chairs inside the room and some seating options outside the room to enjoy each sip that would pair well with a German style pastry from Old German Bakery located in the historic Fredericksburg Downtown area, just 2 miles away from your doorstep. Park in very close proximity of the room and don’t stress about a lengthy corridor or slow elevator as all the units are on the ground level and have their own private entrance.

The Frederick Motel is a Main Street property and is close to all things Fred. We have compiled a short list of our Fred Faves, if you’d like some local intel visit the link and experience Fredericksburg like a local. Thanks for booking with a Texan owned and operated family business. We look forward to your stay!
